When you give to Bon Secours Baltimore Foundation, you are supporting more than 140,000 residents in four of the most vulnerable zip codes in the City of Baltimore.

Our mission is to extend the compassionate ministry of Jesus by improving the health and well-being of our communities and bring good help to those in need, especially people who are poor, dying and underserved.

We extend our mission into the following areas

Career Development

Comprehensive job readiness training and job placement, covering:

  • Healthcare careers
  • Clean & Green neighborhood revitalization & urban agriculture
  • Returning Citizens transition
  • Summer Youth Employment & Entrepreneurship Program (YEEP)
  • G.E.D. preparation courses
  • Community Job Hub computer lab 

Family Support Services

  • Early Head Start developmental childcare for children up to three years old
  • Family literacy education, health education, counseling & support
  • Women’s day shelter for homeless and at-risk clients

HOUSING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

  • More than 800 affordable housing units and resident services are offered for low-income families, seniors and people with disabilities.
  • Future Baltimore Bon Secours Community Resource Center under development in the heart of west Baltimore that will house programs and social services.

FINANCIAL SERVICES & EDUCATION

  • “Our Money Place” programs, which evaluate participants’ eligibility for public benefits
  • Personal budget & credit workshops
  • Low-cost tax preparation services
  • Day Shelter for at-risk women who are in an unstable housing situation.
 

FUTURE BALTIMORE™

  • Flagship partnership between Bon Secours and Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States.
  • Focused on improving the socio-economic conditions for residents of the 21223 Zip code.
  • Delivering initiatives to address economic well-being, community safety & security, and mental health & well-being
